KINGSTON BIKE TOURS
Kingston Bike Tours has a philosophy: “Chasing your Dreams”
This mentality fits well when we see young athletes doing just that. We are proud to partner with Dawson Smith, a young rugby player who will be competing at the Eastern Canadian Rugby Championships for Team Eastern Ontario this upcoming week, August 12th - 17th, right here in Kingston at Queen’s University. This fall, he will attend Wilfred Laurier University where he has been recruited to play on their squad!
Participating in sports is an expensive endeavour, especially at the elite level Dawson has reached. To assist him with his efforts, Kingston Bike Tours will be donating $20 from every bike tour over the next two weeks in support of Dawson’s dream of competing at the highest level he can.
If you would like to support Dawson, book a tour with us today and quote “I support Dawson” and we'll make sure he receives a note that you've done so!
Dawson Smith and his Team Eastern Ontario teammates met their arch rivals Central Ontario in the finals of the Eastern Canadian Rugby Championships this past Saturday in the winner-takes-all match up. Weather wise, it had rained all morning and as game time approached it was a dull and grey filled, overcast sky as they took to the turf at Nixon Field at Queen's University.
The tournament had been a battle of attrition for the EORU squad, as injuries prevented three of their starters from taking the field at the onset of the match. However, as all good teams do, the found a way to battle.
The game was a fantastic see-saw affair, but in the end, Team Central Ontario prevailed with a 29-15 win.
Kingston Bike Tours is proud of Dawson Smith's silver medal performance and are proud to be a sponsor.
